Micro Astrology

 

There is non-ending debate whether astrology is true or false?  Is Astrology a science.?  Can astrology predict future?  Or does astrology  contain predictive value?  There are so many such questions.  Particularly, after the progress of modern science, such questions from every corner are being raised.  Scientists and Rationalists are raising their voice against validity and relevancy of astrology.  

Interestingly, despite consistent opposition and challenge from Scientists and rationalists, unbelievably astrology has spread all rounds across the globe.  On technological advancement in Mass Media and Internet, astrological awareness has dispersed among mass. Indeed, increasing popularity of astrology has attracted rationalists’ and scientists’ attention .

Rationalists and Scientists think that astrology is pseudo science.  Astrology has no scientific foundation.  So whatever is predicted on the basis of astrological calculations is nothing but just a superstition.  They think that whatever is not known to science is something like superstition.   However, true rationalists are aware that such thinking of scientists is also a kind of superstition as too much belief in one thing is nothing but a kind of Superstition.  They know that this world is outcome of permutation & combination and probability as well.

 Now question is whether astrology is science or not.  Astrology is science but, in my opinion, it does not always behave like modern science.  However, Astrology has scientific base and considerable fraction of astrologers advocates that  astrology, like science, also adopts scientific practices and methodologies for collecting empirical evidence and creates hypothesis that undergoes in the phase of verification and experimentation. On testing the hypothesis on few natives, astrologer takes leap for generalization of the tested predictive theories.

Astrology has also its own postulates & methods to study the things. In science also different branches of science (like physics, chemistry, biology, medical, psychology etc) have their own postulates and methods.  Psychology, after strong opposition for a long, has also been brought in the demarcated category of modern science. Yet, Psychology is not understood as a pure science rather It is semi-science.  Because, psychology has its own methodology of conducting observation and experiencing the things.  In Psychology, human behavior is understood on the basis of self-experience and which is not the subject matter of pure science.  Likewise, if destiny aspect (which is not pure science rather it is para-sciece), is to be studied, there is need of adopting suitable methodology.  
 
Science takes human as living physical body while Astrology considers human as physical-emotional-spiritual human being. Astrology endeavors to deal with entire aspects of human.  It considers various kinds & levels of body.  It deals with Chitta, Mana, Buddhi, Samskara, ethics, code of conduct, individuality etc.  It’s covered field starts from microcosm and extends to macrocosm.  Like science, astrology is not limited to the theory of causation, physical energy and its manifestations. Astrology finds its root somewhere in Karma Theory which has deep meaning and is related to rebirth, Prarabdha, destiny etc.  So initially Astrology may seem like modern science but on going into deep it is quite apparent that working fields of both are quite different.  
 
If Modern scientists and Astrologers are compared, scientists have advantage.  Scientists have resources easily available around in nature to experiment and test the same in labs whereas astrologers are bereft of any such kind of advantage.  How astrologer will experiment with planets in laboratory!  How real time situations of human will be created in labs to test.   Further, every individual is unique and his destiny generated circumstances are also unique. Thus, astrologer has to work always in the unique circumstance. So in predictive astrology always replication is not possible. 

Recently, on Indian TV Channels, a news was coming that one mother gave birth of a baby in the toilet of a running train and the baby fell down on the rail track from running train still that baby survived.  In such case, even prediction of doctor will also fail because as per our observation factored with the risk in such fall convinces us to forecast death of child.  But still baby is alive.  Can anyone calculate accurately how the baby sustained injury and survived?  In such unprecedented case science also fails. In astrology every individual is unique and his destiny and situation generated events are unprecedented yet prediction is made and it comes true.  With this angle if astrology is seen instantly anyone can perceive the efficacy of astrology and wisdom of Rishi-Muni and their science also.

Our Rishi-Munis were also Scientists but their working areas were related to the interplay and manifestations of subtle energy.  They didn’t give priority to that science which deals with physical forces only.  They knew it that such science will ultimately lead to devastation because physical force is blind. While spiritual force has wisdom and Spritual science removes the blindness of physical force. Undoubtedly, this is one reason of belated advent of modern science Era in India. 

Life is complex.  It is governed by various known and unknown factors.  Rishi-Munis had fair idea of these factors  and they tried to formulate the same in astrology.   Prarabdha, Destiny, Rebirth etc are not subject matter of modern science.  Modern scientific way and scientific method will not help so much in knowing the things.  To know these things astrologers need to practice the methodology of Rishi-Muni.  Besides, Sadhana and meditation on the subject, Spiritual element, Alignment with higher energies and perception (bodha) of Brahma are necessary.
 
In view of the above, comparison of astrology with science is not good.   However, for convenience, we may say astrology as Divine Science.  Science has to deal with physical matters, so keeping in view its need, science has developed its own methodology for studying the things under its purview. Likewise, as per its need, astrology has its own methodology to study the destiny and predicting the events.  Science should not object methodology of astrology. Both have quite different realm of operation.  If there is noticeable difference and contradiction between these two methodologies, it is quite natural. 

Due to above said reason, an astrologer should not covet to prove astrology as modern science and venture to employ modern scientific methodology in the astrology system.   Events do not take place in life on modern scientific pattern.  Our freewill, Samskara, Emotion etc creates chaotic situations that can not be understood by so called scientific method.  For this, there is need of knowing science of seers. 

 

The author has experienced in several cases and found the relevancy of astrology in human life.  One day a wretched querist approached him for consultancy related to an infant male child taken birth in his family. The child was suffering from acute jaundice and RH disease.  And doctor was quite apprehensive for child's life.  Child's horoscope was studied by the author and it had been found that child had longevity but time period and planetary condition in the horoscope were not favorable.  So, he was advised to do suitable astrology remedies.  Next day that querist religiously did all the things what had been adviced and by the grace of God, miracle took place.  On the same day in the afternoon report came and everything was about to become normal.  And on the next day that child and mother were got discharged from hospital.  The Parents thanked and doctor also approached the author and praised the glory of astrology.

One another querist  asked for cure of his 6 year old baby (who was suffering from unknown / undiagnosed disease and he was advised to do remedies and told that within 3 days his child may get cured.  He did and reported that his child really got cured within the said time period.

 

In another case, one lady family member of a young sick native requested to see the horoscope of the sick native, who was non-believer of astrology.  And his father was also dead against of astrology.  But that lady had some belief on astrology.  His horoscope was studied and few remedies were advised.  But that lady could not do those remedies for next four days. In between condition of sick native was deteriorating and doctor was failing even to diagnose. She again approached and told the condition of sick native.  She was sorry for not doing remedies so far.   She was insisted by the author to do remedies and then she did and within 2 hours disease got diagnosed and correct course of treatment could be adopted and after two days observation, doctor relieved the patient.

These examples indicate that astrological study of horoscope gives indication correctly and suitable remedies bring result. If a scientist will intend to explore modern scientific aspect in these remedies, he may not get success in it. But truth is that these things work.   Pre-Newtonian age, several people had observed the gravitational force. But Newton was scientist, he researched on his observation and named it gravitational force.  On acceptance of science, nothing change came in attracting capability of the earth, but a lot of changes came in the knowledge of scientists.  Likewise, if science does not recognize astrology, nothing change will come in astrology but there will be loss to science. Therefore modern science should embrace astrology.  This will open new vista to modern science.
