Journey of Vedic Astrology in India Human has inherently insatiable curiosity to know the elusive riddle of future. Matters of future make him more often worried and sometime optimistic. Every person is found interested in knowing his future and asking questions related his education, family, career, income, acquisition, financial matters, job, marriage, spouse, child, health, success, failure, span of life etc . Parashar, Jaimini are a few great sages who introduced the world with divine astrology and propounded theories related to astrology. These theories are sound edifice of Vedic Astrology Classics . On the basis of these theories, since from very past, Astrology (Jyotisha) and its various forms have been answering above mentioned a few questions pertaining to future of native. Several expert astrologers of the school of traditional or conventional astrology and vedic astrology ( bhartiya astrology ) have been capable enough in predicting the things more accurately and benefiting others. They have proved the authenticity & utility of astrology and established this science among the people.
Nadi astrology ( Nadi Jyotish ) is one form of Indian astrology ( Bhartiya Jyotish ) that is known for accurate predictions. Nadi is nothing but a smallest division of zodiac. In earlier days, time consciousness among common people was not so commendable and they were unable to keep record of accurate time of birth. Therefore, it seems, our sages devised a system in nadi astrology under which on the basis of thumb impression or palm reading, horoscope of an individual can be prepared. Nadi astrologers claim that horoscopes of all natives have already been prepared by the great saint with predictions inscribed in bhojpatra and amazingly these predictions prove fairly accurate. But, this system could not expand desirably in the later days and thus remained limited to a few people and common man could not get benefit of this rare system of future telling. To counter the problem of accurate birth time, it seems, general principles and significations of planets , signs mentioned in classics of astrology (Jyotish) were used extensively for making prediction. Such predictions, based on approximation and static signification, were easy and needed not much minute calculation. And, simultaneously, it was able to cover & serve the large section of people who had no birth time record. People get benefited so it found acclamation and expanded desirably. Owing to this, astrology was inducted in then education system. Studying astrology was prestigious. In that time, people were very much coveted for studying this science as now people are for Engineering, Management etc. Today's astronomy was part and parcel of astrology. Number system came into existence from then. Here, I recall the prediction of Osho, who had predicted that within 30 years again astrology will find place as a subject in universities. Various universities are on the verge of including astrology as a teaching subject. Seeing the propensity of intellectuals towards this science, it is presumed that those days are not far when prediction of Osho will come true. Anyway, as said above, due to some constraint, prediction began to depend on approximation of time of birth. Rationalized system of astrological thoughts was missing gradually. The age when people's activities were limited, the predictions made on assumptions and postulates of above mentioned techniques, seemingly true. But, with the development around world, activities of mankind expanded, while in astrology, the required modification could not take place duly. Secondly, its original theories etc also got missing and diluted as well. So, in later days, astrologers were bound to predict on merely left sutras and approximation of time. By now, predictive art has also become nothing more than an operative system of ambiguous language with liquidity in terms of interpretation. Such endeavor of astrologers kept them bereft of fair degree of accuracy in their predictions. Besides, the theories in use were also not found coming true on the parameters of science. So, intellectuals and modern scientists did not recognize astrology ( Jyotis ) as science. In their view, astrology lacks replication etc. of its theories and it does not come on the parameters required for to be called science. While, on the other hand, astrologers were still used to make other believe so-called astrology as a super science that deals with life pattern of human being who acts and get results in his life as per his Karmas done in the past. The evasive attitude of so-called astrologers brought astrology on a juncture where its integrity became questionable. It is here worthy to mention that it was the effort of sincere astrologers that has made relevant this science over such period even after facing several transitions. In later part of 20th century, astrology began to expand worldwide in many forms or systems. Several research works had been conducted to arrive at fair level of accuracy in astrological prediction. In this course the work of Shri Krishnamurti brought a new dimension in Astrology that was answer to the intriguing question posed before serious astrologer as to with the accuracy of prediction. He found that sometimes planet does not give the result of the house(s) owned or occupied by it, while it gives the results of those house(s) whose lord is star lord of the planet. This is actually Stellar Theory. He studied western astrology and amalgamated various new elements of it in the traditional astrology and developed some theories, which are now known as Krishnamurti System of Astrology or KP. In his study he used division of constellation into Sub on the pattern of Vimshottari Dasha. Sub Theory was really a milestone in predictive astrology. Its result was satisfactory. Due to this theory accuracy elements in predictive astrology got enhanced yet there were a lot of loopholes. This theory was still unable to answers a few important and relevant questions like uniqueness of the nativity. In Sub theory, a planet covers a sub-arc of a cusp for time ranging from 3 to 9 minutes, in between, a number of native take births. The astrological charts of all natives who take birth in the time range of a Sub should be more or less same while, their destiny, health etc in reality are found quite different. So KP astrology also felt incapable to bring uniqueness on horoscope level. In comparison to traditional astrology, of course, it was closer to accuracy but, more often, this accuracy was not sufficient. For want of uniqueness in the nativity in the horoscope, minute analysis was not possible. Nor energy network of a native was not quite understandable. Thus, in this theory still there was absence of distinctiveness that necessitated further logical modifications. We know, there is uniqueness everywhere in every native. Of course, like others, a particular native also has hands, feet, eyes, ears mouth, etc. but hand of one is not same with that of others. Likewise, in every horoscope, there are 9 planets, 27 Nakshatras & 12 signs but these of one horoscope are not same with that of others'. Due to our limitation we may think like this. But on pondering even a bit, clearly it is understandable that the Planets in the horoscope of one are of different degrees while in others' horoscope, who has taken birth in the next moment, the degree etc. of planets will be different. So, this is the movement of planets over a moment that brings uniqueness of nativity. The mystery of uniqueness will be possible to unfold only when we will be able to compute the movement of planets over a moment and understand the difference between the planets of earlier moment and planets of now. Slight changes in degree of planets and so uniquely change in nativity! So, there is great requirement of uniqueness on horoscope level. Without establishing uniqueness, effort to delve out relevant information from the horoscope of the native is just a farce. Obviously, there is need of more divisions of zodiac so that uniqueness on horoscope level may be understandable. In this direction, Mr. S.P. khullar, a great astrologer of modern time, has contributed significantly and successfully discovered the secret of accuracy of Nadi astrology and elucidated the much needed Sub-Sub Theory (advanced stellar theory ) in very logical fashion. He studied on further division of Sub arc; merely dividing the Sub into Sub-Sub was not enough. What to speak of Sub-Sub, more divisions are possible but its reasonable & authentic use in tune with relevant classical theories to delineate horoscope are of great importance. Reverend Guruji has done the job so meticulously that accurate prediction and timing of the events could become possible to a large extent. His scientific approach towards predictive astrology led him to the Cuspal Interlinks Theory (CILT) , which yields quite satisfactory results in terms of revealing the promise in the horoscope and energy network laid down therein. It is nearly unique in quantifying the apportioned energy to the native by the Supreme Intelligence. The concept of Cuspal Interlinks Theory is basically the concept of Nadiamsha. In Nadi system there are 150 nadis and each has been divided into two parts- Purva and Uttara. The prediction for the native born in purva of a naadi is quite different from that of Uttara. In Nadi astrology smallest nadiamsa is of 1 minute 40 seconds and the largest one is of 30'. While in Sub-Sub theory, smallest Sub-Sub arc is of 2' and the largest Sub-Sub arc is of 22.2'. Thus, the division in Cuspal Interlinks Theory is very close to that of Nadiamsha. Since 15" arc of Ascendant rises on the eastern horizon in 1 second change of time. So the Ascendant's arc of 2" (smallest arc in Sub-Sub theory) will rise in approximately 8 seconds. It means the nativity of two individuals, born in the interval of 8 seconds (in case of smallest arc), will be totally different. Like Nadiamsha theory as to with division of a Nadiamsha in purva and uttara, here also the sub-sub arc of Ascendant is divided into two parts - former part and later part. Former part in male sign indicates Male native while later part in male sign indicates Female native. While later part in female sign indicates Male and Former Part in Female sign indicates Female. So, if a male native has to take birth while the smallest arc of ascendant is rising (for example only) in a male sign, he will have to take birth in the former part i.e. upto 4 seconds change of time. This is why, in Sub-Sub Theory , nativity of an individual always tends to be unique to specify uniqueness of native and horoscope prepared is supposed to simulate the destiny of native. Through Cuspal Inte-rlink Theory an astrologer becomes capable to analyze a horoscope on micro level and see the thread of energy network indicating substantially relevant encrypted information related to the nativity. I am quite thankful to our Guruji who taught us this theory. May God keep him always energetic so that he may enlighten more and more astrologers engaged in the service of True Astrology! |
